Meet the Prairielands Chiropractic Clinic Team
Dr. Tonweya Langille - Chiropractor
Dr. Langille is a native of southwest Iowa, graduating from Glenwood High School. At the age of ten, Dr. Langille experienced a life changing event. During a gymnastic tournament, Dr. Langille injured his neck and back. He sought out the help of a local Chiropractic Wellness Doctor. After an exam, x-rays and a series of corrective spinal adjustments, Dr. Langille's condition has resolved. Today with regular and consistent chiropractic maintenance and a lifestyle prevention plan in effect, he is able to fully enjoy his family, friends and his practice. Reducing nerve interference by gradually and safely aligning the spine not only improved his overall health, but proved to be pivotal for his career path.
As a result of his experience, Dr. Langille has dedicated himself to making non-drug solutions the first choice in health care. Dr. Langille currently owns and operates Prairielands Chiropractic Clinic located in the Omni Centre Business Park in downtown Council Bluffs, Iowa. His practice focuses on health and wellness through maintenance and prevention, rather than waiting for a health crisis such as pain, disability or disease to occur.
Dr. Langille has been established as one of the very best in Council Bluffs through corporate and group lectures, community wellness programs, excellent reputation and great individual results.
Dr. Langille treats many local professional and amateur athletes, as well as many children and families. He is loved by his patients not only for his skills and professionalism, but also for his warm, caring nature and attention to detail.
Dr. Langille received his Chiropractic Degree (D.C.) from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport.
In his free time, Dr. Langille enjoys fishing, swimming, playing the guitar, horses, and spending quality time with his wife, Shamani, and their two beautiful children. Dr. Langille says, "Prevention is the key. As we get older, poor health can really cost us and that's why it is important to have your family, your friends, even your kids checked. Call us today for a free consult."
Dr. Langille is trained as a physician to recognize conditions which will or will not respond well to adjustments and/or various forms of therapy. Additional therapies will be provided in your care plan if needed and include ultrasound, electric stimulation, massage and manual therapies, therapeutic yoga, and supportive device training. In most cases additional recommendations will be discussed for each particular individual such as home care approaches or nutritional/supplement/remedy considerations.
To gain vital information about the
patient we consult, review the case history, conduct a physical examination,
and we may request laboratory analysis and / or x-rays. Unlike other
health-care providers, however, chiropractic physicians also conduct a careful
analysis of the patient's structure and pay particular attention to the
spine. We also ask you about your life - Do you eat well? Exercise
at all? How do you deal with stress? Do you have children?
What do you do for work? And so on. Dr. Langille seeks the origin of the problem.

Annie - Wellness Instructor, RYT (200), Chiropractic Assistant
A native of the Omaha area, Annie began her yoga practice in the form of pranayama (breathing exercises) in 1996 in Taos, New Mexico. Pranayama's focus on breathwork is key to unlocking the body's potential and remains the basis for her teaching today. In 1997 she took her first formal asana class with Omaha Iyengar teacher Karin Nilsen. A desire for a more rhythmic style caused her to seek out hard and soft forms of ashtanga-based movement. Next Annie studied Bikram yoga, aka 'hot yoga,' and she spent the next few years teaching the Bikram method as well as her own spirited style of vinyasa flow. In 2002 she obtained a yoga certification from Sivananda after attending an in-depth comprehensive teacher training at their Grass Valley, California ashram, Sivananda's traditional teachings, steeped in the roots of yoga, expanded Annie's knowledge and understanding of the asana and pranayama disciplines. As an adjunct to yoga, Annie became certified in the highly regarded Stott Method Pilates in Chicago, Illinois in 2005. Her journey into the study of yoga and related disciplines is ongoing. Annie is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.
